From the day its prices were announced, the SUV has been garnering a lot of interest amongst the standard Nexon EV customers, who are planning to upgrade to the more powerful and expensive Nexon EV Max and are awaiting deliveries. Tata recently launched the Nexon EV Max in the Indian market starting at Rs.18.34 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Essentially a longer-range version of the Nexon EV, the EV Max gets a bigger 40.3 kWh battery, 14 hp more power, faster-charging options, and an ARAI-certified range of 437 km, which is 125 km more than the regular Nexon EV.

The Tata Nexon EV takes on the likes of the Max MG ZS EV and the upcoming Hyundai Kona EV facelift. Thanks to its small footprint and smart cost measures, the Nexon EV Max undercuts both its rivals by a wide margin while offering a comparable range. Apart from the bigger battery, more power, and longer range, there are other differences that set the Nexon EV Max apart from the regular Nexon EV. Tata Nexon EV, EV Max Features

The new Tata Nexon EV Max comes with two charging options – a 3.3kW AC charger and a 7.2kW AC charger. It takes 15-16 hours and 5-6 hours respectively to get fully charged through the smaller capacity and more powerful chargers. The company says that the electric SUV can be juiced from 0 to 80 percent in 56 minutes with a 50kW DC fast charger. This model comes with an 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty for the battery and motor.
